The majority of foreign tourists heading for Africa (and a fair proportion of people living there) will experience game reserves at some point. Hopefully the purpose of your trip will not be to shoot at the animals; many of the better restaurants in South Africa and Namibia will already have done that for you. Turtle Bay in 'Maritzburg is a good starting point.
